Summary
We are seeking a dedicated aide to join our team for 1 - 3 months (potential for extension) to assist children with additional needs and support inclusion strategies in the classroom.
Responsibilities
Support one-on-one needs of children during transitions; cognitive learning activities; play and co-regulation.
Support inclusion strategies for all children.
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment.
Support the social, emotional, and cognitive development of all children.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure children's needs are met.
Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining detailed records.
Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate children with diverse learning needs.
Promote positive behavior and conflict resolution within the classroom.
Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating learning space.
Qualifications
ECE Level 1
Valid First Aid
Current Criminal Record Check (with vulnerable person check) dated within 6 months of 5 January 2026.
Proven experience in early childhood education or childcare. Ideally with Kids Included, a PUF provider, as 'Aide-In-Daycare' or with an ASaP site.
Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities or special needs.
Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic attitude.
Initially this position will be for 1 - 3 months with the potential to extend.
