Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will work along side our Registered Early Childhood Educators to create a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role requires the ability to work well with peers, being able to handle a rapidly changing environment and the ability to be agile when asked to complete a task.

Assistants are required to help the RECE with the daily operations of the classroom.

Experience with children is a requirement.

Responsibilities

Supporting RECE when implement age-appropriate lesson plans that engage children in learning activities. Taking direction from RECE with regards to planned classroom activities. Support in classroom transitions from and to rooms when needed Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a collaborative atmosphere. Monitor and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents on their development. Help manage classroom behaviour using positive reinforcement techniques. Help Maintain accurate records of each child's progress and development milestones. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students. Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the classroom.

Requirements

Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Light cleaning duties will be assigned for classrooms as a shared responsibility Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education. A passion for young minds in a classroom setting is a must.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
