Qualifications:
50 hour orientation course provided by various programs in Alberta - Level 1
Infant/Child C.P.R. and First Aid updated every 3 years

Responsibilities:
-Assist and contributes in all areas of program planning
-Follow all agency policies and procedures and philosophies
-Assist in supervising children in the classroom, play area, on trips and walks
-Assists in hygiene care, lunch/snack, bathroom and other routines
-Works with team effectively
-Attends workshops and on-going info sessions provided by the center
-Adheres to dress code
-Contributes in the daily cleaning and sanitizing of furniture, equipment, toys and general room tidiness
-Have knowledge of the child care licensing act and general health and safety standards
-Builds a positive relationship with parents and the community, promoting involvement
-Checks for toys and equipment to ensure safe functioning
-Diaper and/or toilet train children when necessary
-Participates in meal time to promote healthy practices
-Instructs and helps children in washing, dressing, toileting and eating to help skill development
-Assists and encourages in the child's emotional and metal development
-Documents children's attendance
-Documents diapering, meals, naps etc. on the daily report
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.64-$27.62 per hour

Experience:
Early Childhood General Education Teachers: 1 year (preferred)
