ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, delivery, development, and execution of our Early Childhood Education and our Early Childhood Assistant program. You will work closely with various teams to curate engaging and impactful content that aligns with our organizational objectives and resonates with our target audience. The Program Coordinator will work closely with the academic team through program accreditation and quality assurance projects.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Director of Academics and Quality Assurance and Manager of Accreditation and Quality Assurance, the Program Coordinator supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of academic programs in collaboration with faculty, campus leadership, and academic teams. As both an instructor and academic leader, the Program Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring program sustainability and student success. Acting as a program champion, they work closely with the Director and support areas to facilitate essential academic and operational processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Teach assigned courses in accordance with established curriculum, learning objectives, and departmental standards.
Prepare and deliver engaging lectures, presentations, and other instructional materials to facilitate student learning and comprehension.
Under the direction of the academic team, will develop and update course syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional materials to reflect current best practices and academic standards.
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, critical thinking, and academic success.
Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and requirements set forth by relevant accrediting agencies.
Collaborate with academic departments, faculty, and staff to collect data, assess program effectiveness, and implement improvements to meet accreditation standards.
Provide guidance and support to faculty in the preparation of self-studies, reports, and other accreditation-related documents.
Onboard new faculty to the program and its operations
Stay informed about changes in accreditation standards, regulations, and best practices, and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Monitor and analyze institutional data to track progress towards accreditation goals and identify areas for improvement.
Represent the institution at accreditation meetings, conferences, and other events, advocating for our commitment to academic quality and continuous improvement.
Evaluate program effectiveness and gather feedback to continuously improve the quality and impact of our offerings.
Through consultation supports program quality assurance related to curriculum delivery, ensuring consistency of the student learning experience across program(s)
Review and analyze survey results to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement, using the findings to inform program enhancements and ensure a high-quality learning experience.
Ensures all program documentation and course materials are developed, stored, and maintained using established standardized processes.
Collaborate with the instructional design team to ensure all course materials and learning resources are developed and updated in accordance with college protocols, branding standards, and approved templates.
Leads and supports faculty in college-wide curriculum quality assurance processes. Participates in program renewals.
Works with the Academic Quality Assurance team when program-specific Ministry, accreditation standard reviews and updates occur
Leads the program team in the development of program guidebooks and other resources, ensuring accuracy of content
Collaborates with the Director of Academics and Quality Assurance (or designate) and program team to complete program assessment
Provides guidance and support to stakeholders, facilitating work-integrated learning requirements (e.g., practicum)
Coordinates and supports requests for program/student-specific information gathering and sharing, including the former Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and survey data.
Collaborates and reviews recommendations from instructors for learning resources, delivery modes and assessments
Work with the marketing team during open houses and to create a welcoming environment for future students
Collaborate with industry experts through the Program Advisory Committee to ensure the curriculum remains current, relevant, and aligned with labor market needs, while fostering partnerships that support student learning and graduate employability.

Intercampus travel is required, possession of a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is preferred.
A deep understanding of the accreditation process
A thorough understanding of the College of Early Childhood Educators requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Must have a minimum bachelor's degree in early childhood education (ECE)
Registered as an Early Childhood Educator (RECE), in good standing.
At least five (5) years of experience as an RECE including demonstrated leadership experience.
Experience working in a teaching in an intensive post-secondary institution is an asset.
High level of proficiency with Office 365 environment, including Outlook, One Drive, SharePoint, Forms, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Experience in at least one learning management system preferably D2L.
