We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Early Childhood Education Instructor to join our academic team at Heritage Community College. This role offers an exciting opportunity to educate and inspire future Early Childhood Education Assistants by delivering engaging, high-quality instruction aligned with the BC Early Learning Framework in a supportive and collaborative learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and interactive instruction in accordance with the ECEA curriculum and BC Early Learning Framework
Prepare lesson plans, assessments, and classroom materials that support student learning outcomes
Provide guidance, mentorship, and feedback to students in both theory and practicum components
Monitor student progress and maintain accurate records of attendance, evaluations, and academic performance
Foster a respectful, inclusive, and professional classroom environment
Collaborate with academic staff to support student success and continuous program improvement
Qualifications Required:
ECE or ECE Instructor certification
in British Columbia (or equivalent post-secondary credential in Early Childhood Education)
BC License to Practice
(ECE) in good standing
Current First Aid & CPR-C Certification
Clear Criminal Record Check
with Vulnerable Sector Screening
Minimum of
2 years of recent experience
working in early learning settings (teaching experience preferred)
Strong understanding of the
BC Early Learning Framework
and adult learning principles
Prior instructional or mentorship experience in a post-secondary or training environment is an asset
