EA (Enhanced Accessibility) Worker
We are looking for a caring and compassionate EA (Enhanced Accessibility) worker to join the Early Learning team in a part-time casual role (20-24 hours/week) at the Navera Early Learning & Family Centre, Rosewood location.
Job Purpose
EA's work one-on-one with a designated child to ensure quality of care in an inclusive, safe, warm, and happy environment, and they interact cooperatively with parents, ensuring open communication and support.
Reporting Relationship
This position reports to the Pedagogical Leader at the Early Learning & Family Centre.
Duties and Responsibilities
Providing physical care and stimulation for designated child.
Working inclusively with the other children and Early Childhood Educators around you.
Planning and implementing age-appropriate developmental activities.
Following any support plans identified by external professionals (i.e. SLP, OT, etc.)
Observing and monitoring the development and health of the child, keeping accurate individual progress records (childcare sheets).
Supporting and encouraging parents; working with parents to cooperatively plan for the care of their children and work towards identified goals.
Reporting children's health and progress to parents daily and providing parents access to copies of their children's files.
Modelling behaviour that nurtures and supports healthy family living and mutual respect.
Working in coordination with other staff to create an open and adaptive environment.
Attending and contributing to staff meetings.
May assist in planning and preparing children's meals and snacks.
Understands and actively applies the mission, vision, and values and of Navera Community Connections.
Other duties may be assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification. Level 1 Preferred.
First Aid and CPR.
Experience working with children experiencing disability, diverse needs, or behavioural challenges.
Proficiency to speak, understand, read and write in English.
Experience working with a team is an asset.
Valid Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Search is required.

Working Conditions
In-person at the Early Learning & Family Centre.
Primarily work indoors, with some outside work with children.
Standing, lifting (up to 40 lbs.), bending, sitting on the floor.
Job Details
This is a casual part-time position, approximately 20-24 hours per week.
Hours of work are based on operational need during Monday - Friday.
Some flexibility in scheduling and additional casual work may be available.
Compensation dependent on education and experience. Wage enhancement available with proof of ECE certification.
