• Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the Financial Supervisor is responsible for the completion of a range of accounting tasks including general ledger maintenance, accounts receivable management, journal entries, bank deposits, and financial reporting to support the Agencys fiduciary stewardship obligations.
• This role is responsible for the completion of a range of payroll tasks including bi-weekly payroll, benefits administration, and supporting financial analysis.
• This position also supports decision making through completing and preparing financial analysis, contributes to the annual budget preparation, reporting, and auditing cycles, and provides back up to finance team members.
• All duties are carried out in accordance with relevant legislation, Agency policy and procedures and the Collective Agreement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year post-secondary diploma in a business-related field, with an accounting focus
• Pursuing CPA, an asset
• National Payroll Institute Certification, an asset
• Additional training in Accounting and Payroll administration, an asset
• Three (3) years financial analysis, reporting, payroll and benefit experience in a computerized environment
• Experience working in a unionized public sector service organization, an asset
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
• French Language proficiency, written and verbal, an asset
