Responsibilities

• Once trained, work independently with minimal supervision
• Complete material sampling and testing at a standard that will satisfy contract requirements and ensure proper quality control.
• Onsite document control.
• Test road construction materials, such as asphalt, concreate, pavement and aggregate.
• Ensure compliance with testing standards.
• Lab set-up and tear down.

Qualifications/ Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
• Must have a valid Class 5 Drivers License
• Prior experience working within a paving or construction company is an asset
• Weather dependent schedule of Monday to Saturday, up to 12 hours per day and may consist of day and/or night shift. Overtime is paid in accordance with applicable employment standards.
• Work is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
• Must be physically able to repetitively lift and carry at least 50LBS on a regular basis.
• Must comply with the company's drug and alcohol testing requirements.
