Our company is looking for an experienced and safety-focused
DZ Driver
to operate our
26ft curtainside truck.
The ideal candidate has strong driving skills, over 3 years of relevant experience, and a clean driver's abstract. We are located in North York at Norfinch Dr., North York.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safely operate a 26 ft curtainside truck for pickups and deliveries.
Proactively delivering products to various customers and businesses in the GTA and surrounding areas
Load and unload materials
Secure loads and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Follow assigned routes, delivery schedules, and customer instructions.
Perform daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en route, post-trip)
Report maintenance issues promptly.
Maintain accurate delivery paperwork and logs.
Represent the company professionally at all customer locations.
Reviewing ordered products before and after delivery to ensure that orders are complete
and up to customer satisfaction.
Daily customer interaction through answering questions and handling complaints from clients.
Collecting and accepting payments for invoiced products
Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager
QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid DZ Driver's Licence.
3+ years of truck driving experience
3-year letter of experience from the previous insurance company.
Clean driver's abstract.
Experience with 26 ft curtainside trucks (or similar size)
High School diploma or equivalent
Fluency with speaking, reading, and writing in English.
Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds as required and assist other personnel with heavier loads.
Strong knowledge of Ontario road safety regulations.
Good communication skills and a customer service attitude.
Accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to detect the presence of a quality issue
Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Must be flexible to work occasional overtime, including weekends.
