Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hydrovac Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating various heavy equipment. As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating hydrovac trucks to excavate and expose underground utilities while adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites.

Responsibilities

Operate hydrovac trucks and associated equipment for excavation tasks. Ensure the safe operation of heavy machinery including but not limited to excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, graders, and water trucks. Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in safe working condition. Collaborate with team members to execute excavation projects efficiently and effectively. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. Assist with horizontal drilling operations as needed. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Experience

Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is essential, including familiarity with Caterpillar machinery. Commercial driving experience is required; a valid commercial driver's license is preferred. Previous construction site experience is highly desirable, with skills in paving and tanker operations being an asset. Knowledge of hydrovac operations and safety protocols is a plus. Experience working with various types of excavation equipment such as graders and water trucks will be beneficial.
