Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong focus on safety, punctuality, and customer service, ensuring that deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.

Duties

Operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of materials. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving. Assist in the operation of heavy equipment as needed during loading or unloading processes. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles when necessary.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving is required; experience with freight transportation is preferred. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus. Basic knowledge of automotive repair is beneficial for maintaining vehicle performance. Experience operating forklifts is an advantage for loading and unloading cargo efficiently. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely deliveries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
