Job Description

Looking for a currently licensed DZ-driver to work as a DZ Driver / Warehouse Material Handler. The main function of the job would be to operate a box truck delivering parts to and from customer facilities, but the job would also require the applicant to work as a warehouse material handler when not performing driving functions.

We currently run a two-shift rotation of days (6:15am-2:45pm) and afternoons (1:00pm-9:30pm). Shift times are subject to change based upon customer requirements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform daily pre-op inspection of box truck, expedite vehicle and forklift. Safe and efficient movement/shuttle of box truck in and out of dock doors, within and between facility buildings (Cambridge & Woodstock). Monitor truck condition and escalate to Operations Manager when repairs or inspections are required. Transport box truck to off-site maintenance and repair facilities when required. Load and Unload box truck and courier vehicles with forklift / pump truck. Receive various types of couriers throughout the day (box trucks, sprinter vans, personal vehicles, tractor trailers, etc.) using various methods of unload (hand, forklift, pump truck). Prepare skids/shipments for transport. Maintain a clean and tidy workplace, which includes the box truck interior and ramp area. Follow safe operating procedures at all times. Follow and adhere to all customer site-specific safety rules. Adhere strictly to all road safety rules, traffic laws, and company regulations to ensure safe and compliant operation of DZ-class vehicles at all times. Ensure TDG conditions have been met when transporting dangerous goods. Utilize SAP to verify and receive orders into inventory. Completion of daily warehouse inventory tasks (cycle counts). Picking parts out of inventory for fulfillment of customer pick list requirements. Expediting picklists/parts to customer plant(s) during emergency breakdown situations. Additional (warehousing) tasks as required.

Must have valid DZ License and access to own personal vehicle Clean Driving Abstract and CVOR Material handling/Forklift experience preferred Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Good communication and customer service skills Ability to work 40 hrs and shift-work (Days/Afts) Ability to work extended shifts (10hrs) may be required Off shift, on call support may be required. Weekend OT may be required. Minimum 2 years of recentDZ driving experience preferred.
