Barrie Metro Glass Inc. is looking for an experienced, motivated and team oriented DZ Driver - Shipping & Receiving.

Located in Barrie, and founded in 2002, Barrie Metro Glass specializes in large window projects, including curtain walls, high efficiency triple pane windows, and custom load baring window walls. Our Residential / Commercial Shower Division caters to all our customer's glass and mirror needs.

Job Summary

:
As a DZ Driver in the glass and aluminum industry, your primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently transport materials, including glass panels, aluminum frames, and related components, to and from construction sites, warehouses, and suppliers. Your role plays a crucial part in ensuring timely delivery and pickup of materials to support project schedules and maintain operational efficiency. Your attention to safety, adherence to transportation regulations, and commitment to customer service contribute to the overall success of our projects and the reputation of our company within the industry.

Essential:

A valid D/Z license with air brake endorsement and a clean Driver's abstract. Minimum 1 year of experience operating commercial vehicles. Forklift and Telehandler certification with experience operating other material handling equipment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Basic mathematical skills. Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently. Glass Handling experience. Working knowledge of safe packing methods.
Candidates should demonstrate strong organizational skills, safety awareness, and the ability to work effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.76-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.5 - 44 per week
