TITLE: DZ Driver (Delivery & Shuttle Driver)

SUMMARY

Here we grow again! Morton Food Service is currently seeking to fill two driving positions to provide exceptional service to our customers in the Niagara Falls and surrounding areas. Both positions require a professional driver with an AZ/DZ license to join our fast-paced, dynamic team. We offer a competitive salary based on experience and a benefit package.

To complete deliveries to our customer based on an assigned route. This position works Monday to Friday starting as early as 5 am. Candidate must be able to lift up to 50lbs. Orders to customers will vary between three to five cases and up to 30 + cases ranging from five to 50 lbs. To run the shuttle, round trip from Niagara Falls to Woodstock and return Sunday to Thursday with an approximate start time between 9 and 10 pm. The driver would also be required, when needed, to assist the delivery driver with the delivery of product to our customers, when and during peak delivery times.
Morton, with the right candidates, will also look at the possibility of these two roles being interchangeable having the drivers share the responsibility between the two positions. At the least, the shuttle driver will be trained and required to cover the delivery route due to scheduled vacation and absent time.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide superior customer service to build and maintain relationships with customers. Safely operate our trucks following all MTO and Morton regulations. Daily pre and post-trip inspections of vehicles and report any unsafe conditions immediately to the direct supervisor. Accurate delivery of all orders using electronic proof of delivery scanners. Accurately report and record credits when the product is returned. Driver must be detail-oriented and ensure every order is delivered to maximize efficiency. Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills. Capable of working in a team as well as individually.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Valid DZ or AZ license. Clean driver's abstract and CVOR Minimum 2-year DZ/AZ driver experience required Experience in Customer Service Capable of lifting up to 50lbs repetitively Must be self-motivated and able to work with little supervision Able to work longer hours at times until the delivery is complete based on volume and seasonality
