Overview

Horton's Dairy Inc a small, family owned and locally operated dairy distribution service company are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting dairy products safely and efficiently to various locations across midwestern Ontario. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to handle heavy equipment as needed.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations. Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of all items. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on delivery vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. Utilize power jacks and other heavy equipment as required for loading and unloading tasks. Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation of shipments. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Follow all traffic laws and company policies while on the road to ensure safe driving practices.

Qualifications

Valid commercial driving license (DZ); experience in commercial driving is a plus. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including power jacks. Basic knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance is desirable. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple deliveries efficiently. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members. Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) as needed during deliveries. A commitment to safety protocols and a clean driving record are essential for this role.
