Position Summary:

This is an opportunity to work for a leading company in the organic food sector. Your role as a driver plays a crucial part in getting healthy, nutritious foods to stores and food box companies across Ontario!

Based out of New Hamburg, you can expect to travel across Southwestern Ontario. Our sales and dispatch teams will provide support along the way, allowing you to excel and continue growing with our company.

Job Duties

Complete all required pre- and post- trip inspection reports and give them to the Compliance Coordinator at the end of the day Deliver products in a safe, professional and timely manner to customers Follow standardized shipping and receiving procedures while delivering products to customers. Assist with the removal of product off of the truck Occasionally pick up items from locations Communicate with dispatch when additional items are needed to be picked up, delivered or an alteration to your driving schedule occurs Accept payment in the form of cash or cheque from customers upon delivery of product Act as an ambassador of the company while delivering the product as you are one of the main contacts the company has with its customers. Displaying professionalism is an essential aspect of this position

Essential Qualifications:

Active DZ license or equivalent 3 years of combined heavy commercial vehicle experience (can be a mix of bus, truck, or dump truck) At least 25 years of age and insurable Comfortable and able to drive in any type of traffic - this includes in and around downtown Toronto A clean driving abstract Comfort with heavy material handling. Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs (transferring 50 lb bags/boxes of produces from truck bed to handcart, and from handcart to store)

Assets:

Previous experience as a company driver Previous experience unloading products off trucks at delivery locations General understanding of food storage procedures General knowledge of organic produce Experience with customer service - good conversational English

Schedule:

4-5 days per week Including Saturdays - no Sundays
