We are seeking a skilled and reliable Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in transporting materials to and from construction sites, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This position requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members on various projects.
Responsibilities
Operate dump trucks to transport materials such as gravel, sand, and asphalt to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with site supervisors and other operators to coordinate material deliveries and site needs.
Assist in loading and unloading materials as required, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities and types of materials transported.
Perform basic maintenance on vehicles, including cleaning and minor repairs.
Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting issues that may arise during operation.
Operate additional heavy equipment as needed, including backhoes, graders, and horizontal drilling machinery.
Qualifications
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
Proven experience in dump truck driving or heavy equipment operation is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform minor repairs on equipment.
Familiarity with construction processes such as paving and digging is a plus.
Ability to operate Caterpillar machinery or similar heavy equipment effectively.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols on job sites.
