Dual-Rated Team Lead, Aero Car Complex





Under the general supervision of the Department Manager or Designate and within established policies, procedures and guidelines, the Team Lead is responsible for assisting Department Manager or Designate as needed, as well as oversee and provide guidance to employees.

This is a seasonal bargaining unit position which compensates at an hourly rate of $24.84/hr.



QUALIFICATIONS:



Completion of High School Diploma or equivalent knowledge or experience. Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and cash procedures; training in identifying counterfeit money. Proven ability to oversee staff (bargaining unit and Students) for purpose of responding to emergent issues and coaching. Strong guest services service recovery skills. Strong Supervisory and interpersonal skills.

KEY ACTIVITIES:



Supervisory



Supervises unionized, part time, and student employees in a high volume and often stressful environments. Supports measures to monitor and ensure high levels of customer service and related standards are achieved for operations. Coaches and trains student staff including onsite orientation including but not limited to selling procedures, a la carte tickets, attraction packages, time ticketing, reservations, etc. Supervises daily cash transactions including floats, imprest funds, daily change orders and cash audits. Opens and closes the Welcome Centre, makes up floats for staff, does change orders and imprest, as applicable. Adheres to and ensures that employees are working in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Technical Standards and Safety Act, WHMIS, First Aid, Corporate Policies and Procedures, and the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard. Processes all voids and refunds and performs reconciliations where and as required for staff. Ensures staff maintain ticket office supplies if applicable. Follow store security policies and procedures for handling revenue. In conjunction with the Department Manager or Designate, oversees elements of the attractions, including, but not limited to: car loading, line management, elevator operation, attraction control operations if applicable. Assists Department Manager or Designate with designating staff to specific registers/work areas (i.e lineups) and break and lunch schedules. Advises Department Manager or Designate of order requirements from Distribution Centre. Monitors for counterfeit bills and credit/debit fraud and responding and addressing these items when identified by a student. Assists in overseeing and participating in price changes and maintaining inventory. Acts as a liaison to the Department Manager or Designate of any immediate issues occurring (e.x., potential shoplifter, any emergency, potential issue with a guest, etc.). Responsible for the coordination of visitor tours and demonstrations at historic sites in the absence of the Department Manager or Designate if applicable. Required to participate in outreach events, commemorations, VIP tours and special events if applicable. Assists with various cleaning duties, including ensuring all windows are cleaned, floors are swept, and the store is stocked and organized. Resolves public complaints to the best of their ability. Assist with emergency situations. Ensures staff are working safely and following health and safety procedures.

Administration



Inputs daily sales into the Sales Data Base. Transfers receipts to the Niagara Parks Police daily. Balance's credit/debit transactions on the Moneris system. Fill out forms and reports, including incident reports. Assist with yearly inventory counts. Assists and maintains stock and inventory procedures.

Performs Other Related Duties



Promotes a positive image of the Niagara Parks Commission. Provides quality customer service that meets NPC standards. Acts as role model for Niagara Parks guest service and service recovery expectations As assigned.
