Accuenergy is a Toronto-based company dedicated to research, design and manufacturing of multifunction power meters and other instruments. We also provide advanced technological solutions for distribution and industrial power system automation.

Duties and Responsibilities:



Algorithm Development: Design and implement measurement and calculation algorithms on DSP and ARM-based MCU platforms for advanced power quality meters, optimizing for accuracy and efficiency. Signal Processing Improvement: Apply advanced signal processing techniques to enhance existing products, ensuring superior performance in power quality measurement. Hardware Collaboration: Work with the hardware team to develop signal sampling circuits, select ADC and DSP chips, and design/select data communication portals for seamless data transmission. Software Collaboration: Cooperate with embedded system engineers to design data communication interfaces, optimize MCU memory, and support application development for embedded systems. Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of algorithms and signal processing techniques to ensure product reliability and precision. Cross-functional Support: Provide technical support to customer service teams, assisting with DSP and power system-related customer inquiries and requirements. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with new signal processing technologies to proactively enhance product capabilities and maintain a competitive edge. Research and Innovation: Conduct research on emerging technologies and advanced applications in power quality measurement. Identify opportunities to integrate cutting-edge techniques and innovations to drive the development of next-generation products. Other duties as assigned. Ensure Occupational Health and Safety compliance with health and safety laws and regulations. Follow all procedures in compliance of Accuenergy (Canada) Inc standard policy and operation regulations. Any other operation-related responsibilities may be added as company continues to grow.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field Ability to read schematics and datasheets Knowledge and/or experience with DSP and Matlab Proficient in C/C++ Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts, principles, and practices Good analytical and problem solving skills Ability to work in a team environment with Hardware, Software and Systems Engineering teams Previous experience in electric power industry is preferred Self-starter and a team player in a diversified and dynamic and fast-paced product development environment Energetic, self-motivated and enthusiastic. Detail-oriented with respect to quality and accuracy Capable of working independently, while being a collaborative member of the team Takes initiative to complete tasks in progress and seek creative solutions Problem-solving and resourcefulness; Ability to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
