We are seeking a skilled Drywall Finisher to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in finishing drywall surfaces, ensuring smooth, seamless walls and ceilings that meet quality standards. This role involves working on various construction projects, including residential, commercial, and restoration sites. The Drywall Finisher will collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to deliver high-quality results efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
Apply joint compound and tape to drywall seams for a smooth finish
Sand and smooth surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing
Install corner beads, trim, and other accessories as needed
Read blueprints and schematics to accurately complete drywall installation and finishing tasks
Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met
Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols on-site
Assist with related tasks such as caulking, plastering, or minor carpentry work when necessary
Support restoration projects involving water damage remediation, mold remediation, or remodeling efforts
Qualifications
Proven experience in drywall finishing or related construction trades
Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, and schematics is preferred
Hands-on experience with plastering, taping, sanding, and texture application
Familiarity with other construction skills such as carpentry (including trim carpentry and door hanging), masonry, tile laying, flooring installation, and metal stud framing is a plus
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent teamwork skills and ability to follow safety guidelines on construction sites
Prior experience in restoration industry work, water damage restoration, or mold remediation is advantageous
Valid construction site experience with a focus on drywall finishing or related trades is required
