We are seeking a skilled Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drywall installation and finishing, with expertise in applying tape and mud to seams and joints. This role is essential in ensuring that our projects meet high-quality standards, providing a smooth and professional finish. The Taper will work closely with other construction professionals to deliver exceptional results on various projects.
Responsibilities
Apply tape to joints and seams of drywall to create a smooth surface for painting.
Mix and apply joint compound to taped areas, ensuring an even finish.
Sand down joint compound to achieve a flawless surface ready for painting.
Maintain tools and equipment used in the taping process, ensuring they are clean and in good working condition.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site.
Experience
Proven experience as a Taper or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of drywall installation techniques and finishing processes.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
