We are seeking a skilled Taper/painter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing drywall installations and ensuring a smooth, professional appearance in various residential and commercial projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently with other tradespeople on-site. The Taper will play a crucial role in achieving high-quality finishes that meet our clients' expectations.
Duties
Apply tape and joint compound to drywall seams to create a smooth surface.
Sand and finish drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or other finishes.
Collaborate with carpenters, handymen, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
Perform caulking around windows, doors, and other fixtures as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines while working on-site.
Requirements
Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing techniques.
Strong skills in carpentry, maintenance person tasks, and construction painting.
Ability to read blueprints accurately to execute project plans effectively.
Proficiency in caulking techniques for various applications.
Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
