We are seeking a skilled Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in drywall installation and finishing, with the ability to read blueprints and work collaboratively on various projects. As a Taper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that surfaces are prepared and finished to the highest standards, contributing to the overall quality of our construction projects.
Responsibilities
Apply tape and joint compound to seams and corners of drywall to create a smooth finish.
Measure, cut, and install drywall panels according to project specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements and layout.
Perform sanding and finishing tasks to prepare surfaces for painting or other treatments.
Collaborate with carpenters, painters, and other construction professionals to ensure seamless project execution.
Conduct caulking tasks as needed to seal gaps and joints for improved aesthetics and insulation.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
Proven experience in drywall installation and finishing techniques.
Familiarity with blueprint reading is essential for understanding project layouts.
Background in carpentry or maintenance person services is highly desirable.
Knowledge of construction painting processes will be an advantage.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to deliver high-quality workmanship consistently.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
