Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves supporting various building projects and assisting skilled tradespeople in completing tasks efficiently and safely. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and experience in construction-related activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while contributing to diverse projects.

Duties

Assist with construction painting, carpentry, and general building tasks Support the setup and cleanup of job sites to ensure safety and organization Perform caulking and sealing work as directed by supervisors Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements Operate hand tools and basic equipment safely and effectively Support skilled tradespeople with materials handling and other tasks as needed Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment Perform maintenance person tasks such as minor repairs or maintenance when required

Skills

Prior experience in construction, carpentry, or maintenance person work is preferred Knowledge of construction painting, caulking, and blueprint reading is a plus Ability to operate hand tools safely and efficiently Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various construction tasks Reliable work ethic with attention to detail and safety consciousness
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 160 per week
