Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Taper and installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying finishing coats to surfaces, ensuring smooth and seamless transitions between different materials, and contributing to high-quality building finishes. This role requires a strong understanding of construction painting, caulking, and blueprint reading, along with maintenance person experience to support various project needs. The Taper will work closely with carpenters and other trades to deliver exceptional results on commercial and residential projects.

Duties



Apply joint compound and finish drywall surfaces to achieve a smooth, professional appearance. Perform caulking around windows, doors, and other fixtures to ensure proper sealing and insulation. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to accurately execute finishing details. Assist with carpentry tasks as needed, including measuring, cutting, and fitting materials. Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during taping and finishing processes. Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards. Support maintenance person tasks such as minor repairs or adjustments on-site as required.

Experience



Prior experience in construction painting or drywall finishing is highly preferred. Hands-on experience with caulking, taping, and drywall finishing techniques. Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings relevant to construction projects. Carpentry skills or maintenance person experience are advantageous for supporting various aspects of project work. Knowledge of safety procedures in a construction environment is essential. Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce high-quality finishes consistently. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.91-$33.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
