Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drywall Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, finishing, and repairing drywall in various commercial and residential projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently on-site. Prior experience in construction site work, blueprint reading, and related trades is highly valued. The Drywall Installer will contribute to creating safe, durable, and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, assemble, and install drywall panels according to project plans and schematics Finish drywall surfaces by taping, mudding, sanding, and applying textures as needed Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation Collaborate with carpenters, plasterers, and other trades to coordinate work efforts on-site Install insulation, soundproofing materials, and other related components during drywall installation Perform repairs or modifications on existing drywall surfaces as required Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards Maintain a clean work environment and properly handle tools and materials Assist with other construction tasks such as framing, caulking, trim carpentry, or fixture installation when necessary

Qualifications

Proven experience in drywall installation or related construction trades such as carpentry or plastering Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Knowledge of construction estimating and project planning is a plus Familiarity with tools used in drywall installation including taping tools, sanders, lifts, and cutting equipment Experience with related skills such as stucco application, metal stud framing, tile laying, flooring installation, or water damage restoration is advantageous Strong understanding of safety procedures on construction sites Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship skills Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$32.00 per hour
