Job Description

Driver/Swamper will help conduct product collections and deliveries. The ideal candidate will have an excellent driving record, will comply with safety standards, have good customer service skills in person and on the phone, be able to problem solve and work with a team or independently.

The primary responsibilities of this position involve driving an agency provided vehicle, loading and unloading donations, sorting donations, coordinating pick up and drop off times and days, maintaining simple accounting entries, and other tasks as required.

The candidate needs to be physically able to drive and be

seated for lengths of time up to 2 hours, lift bags and boxes repeatedly of up to 30kgs

and adhere to safety procedures at all times.

Position type:

part time temporary, may lead to permanent employment

Hours per week:

15-25 hours per week

Days: typically, Monday-Friday within the hours of 730am-430pm

Rate of pay: starting at $22 per hour

Requirements: Class 5 licence, clear criminal record, provide drivers abstract, customer service skills, ability to drive around Southern Vancouver Island- some familiarity is helpful, physically able to lift and move bags and boxes. Communication in English required.
