Job Description

NP Movers is a well established moving company in Barrie with an exceptional reputation. We are looking for an exceptional and friendly Driver/Mover who is hardworking, reliable, and can excel in a team working environment. Jobs can range from single item moves, apartments, full homes, office moves and supply delivery. We are located in Barrie, we move locally and within the province only.

Who We Are Looking For:

We are looking for a positive, energetic, and reliable individual. Must be in good physical shape. Must be capable of bending and lift up to 75 lbs. Must be customer service oriented and a team player.

Main Responsibilities:

• Meeting the team at the truck on the morning of moves.
• Managing crew members effectively to ensure their success on the job and within the company.
• Load, unload and move furniture and household goods by hand or using basic material and hand equipment
• Check inventory of the truck daily, make sure that the truck is up to standard to operate.
• 3 years of proven commercial driving experience.
• Cleaning driving abstract.
• You are familiar with Diesel trucks and general maintenance (oil check, tire pressure, etc.).
• Ensure content of truck is safely packed.
• Supervise crew on the job site and ensure the safety and quality of service is being delivered, and assist with moves.
• Communicate with customer to ensure customer satisfaction, resolve complaints.
• Complete paperwork with customer upon arrival (signatures) and collect payment at the end of the move or as instructed by the office.

Note:

• Must be flexible, as hours vary from job to job. Not a 9 to 5 position.
• Must be flexible to work Saturdays and the occasional Sunday.
• Wage increases are determined by work performance, punctuality and consistent attendance and a willingness to contribute in the companies success.
• NP Movers is a drug and alcohol free environment. There is no smoking/vaping permitted on/in the truck or on customers property.

Previous experience is an asset, we will provide training.

Job Type:

• Part-time, hours will increase during peak season to up to 30 to 40 per week.

Pay:

• $30.00 per hour (guaranteed $300.00 per week salary, anything over 10 hours worked that week is at $30.00 per hour)

Experience:

• Commercial driving (minimum 2 years, prefer 3 years)

Licence/Certification:

• G Drivers Licence or greater
• Experience driving 26 foot straight truck
