The Crystal Ladder Learning Centre is a specialized centre supporting autistic learners. We are currently seeking a reliable, caring, and patient

Driver

to assist with the safe transportation and daily support of our learners.

This role goes beyond driving and requires someone who is comfortable working closely with children and youth with autism, providing guidance, support, and care during transportation and transitions.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport learners to and from the centre and other scheduled locations Follow all transportation safety procedures and traffic laws Assist learners with understanding and following instructions during transit Provide support with transitions in and out of the vehicle Ensure learners' comfort, safety, and well-being at all times Communicate respectfully and patiently with learners who may require additional support Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle Report any concerns or incidents to centre staff promptly

Qualifications & Requirements:

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Experience working with children or individuals with autism or special needs is strongly preferred Patient, compassionate, and dependable Ability to follow individualized support plans and instructions Strong communication and interpersonal skills Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one) First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.

Pay: From $17.50 per hour
