Schedule is: Sun/Mon. = Driving (Langley) Tues-Thurs = W/house Fri/Sat. = Off


We are seeking a reliable and skilled BC Class 1 Truck Driver / Warehouse Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting refrigerated goods from the Cariboo/Lower Mainland (Langley), ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, maintenance, warehouse facility, etc., as well as adherence to safety regulations. The Warehouse Handler portion is responsible for shipping / receiving and recording movement of parts, supplies, materials, equipment and stock to and from an establishment. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining our commitment to excellent service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities



Shipper Duties:

Wage range: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour (w/house rate)

6-7am start

recording and putting away boxes and film and all other received product

supply boxes etc. for the different packaging lines

wrapping and moving finished product for packaging, prepping the pallets for shipping

limited movement of trailers

loading 3-5 trailers a week

recording and loading trailers with finished product and all the rest of paperwork to load trailer

cleanup of dock and receiving area, charging of equipment and checking batteries of moving equipment

Receiver Duties:

Wage range: $18.50 - $22.50 per hour (w/house rate)

7-8am start

moving trucks and trailers, garbage truck movements

moving meat for production people while keeping it in FIFO

unloading trailers 3-5 times a week and recording relevant info for unloading

washing trailers after each use, sanitized monthly

creating tags for all product received

charging and maintaining batteries of moving powered equipment

Driver Duties:

Wage: $30.00 per hour (Driving rate)

Safely operate company vehicle to transport refrigerated freight to designated locations

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition

Be able to use in truck ELD to record inspections and trailer number

Sleeper Truck is an Automatic. Fuel Card included for Truck as needed

Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times

Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise

Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving

Report immediately any repairs or issues with the truck.

Driver Requirements:



Valid Class 1, driver's license

Clean Driver's extract

Experience: 2 years driving history in Canada

Proof of work eligibility

Pass an annual driver screening, which reviews your driving history and criminal background check

Strong communicator in English both written & verbal.

Experience in the food or meat processing industries considered an asset

Ability to work independently, and as part of a team

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.50 per hour
