Position Summary
Eleven Revelstoke Lodge is seeking an experienced driver to join the team. This role is crucial in providing seamless guest transportation, primarily between the Kelowna airport and our lodge in Revelstoke. The driver will collaborate closely with the lodge team, especially the Experience Managers, to ensure an exceptional guest experience. This is a part-time, on-call, seasonal position starting at $26.50/hr. The season runs December - April.
Position Purpose
The driver will play a guest-facing role, ensuring that the high standards of Eleven are upheld during guest transport to and from the lodge and occasionally within the town. The driver will also support the Experience Manager with arrival and departure logistics, like luggage transfer from the vehicle to the guest rooms etc.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Assist in all Eleven Revelstoke Lodge & Heli-Skiing transportation needs including, but not limited to:
Provide transportation for guests and luggage between the airport and lodge.
Assist in loading and unloading luggage from vehicles.
Pick up guest meals en route, ensuring proper catering.
Handle other transportation needs, including picking up amenities or supplies for the lodge.
Navigate alternate routes when necessary, especially during winter conditions or road closures.
Vehicle Maintenance:
Clear snow from vehicles as needed.
Ensure proper parking for both guest and company vehicles.
Refuel vehicles at the end of each shift.
Complete vehicle record sheets at the start and end of each shift.
Conduct basic vehicle checks, including tire pressure and fluids, before each trip.
Report any vehicle maintenance needs, cleanliness issues, or damage to the Lodge Manager.
Adhere to all road safety regulations and company-specific safety protocols during transport.
Guest Services:
Engage in friendly conversation with guests, ensuring a comfortable atmosphere during trips.
Respect guest privacy and maintain discretion during transportation.
Attend to guests' needs and preferences during transport, including providing music, food, and beverages.
Crisis Management:
Handle emergencies or unexpected situations, such as vehicle breakdowns or adverse weather conditions, calmly and efficiently.
Communication:
Maintain clear communication with the lodge team and Experience Managers, ensuring that all transport logistics are well-coordinated.
Qualifications
Valid class 4 unrestricted driver's license
CPR/First Aid Certified
Special Position Requirements
Experience in winter driving conditions
Experience driving long distances
Previous experience in hospitality/guest-facing environments
Ability to work early mornings and late evenings
Flexibility in work schedules, especially during peak seasons or unexpected changes in guest itineraries.
