Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of commercial driving, freight handling, and the operation of heavy equipment. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our logistics operations.

Duties

Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport freight to designated locations. Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport. Collaborate with warehouse staff to coordinate loading schedules and ensure efficient operations. Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading tasks. Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles when necessary to ensure operational efficiency.

Requirements

Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required. Experience in freight transportation and logistics is preferred. Proficiency in operating forklifts and heavy equipment is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices in commercial driving. Ability to perform basic automotive repairs or maintenance tasks on vehicles. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
