The CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish is the flagship charity initiative of Bell Media, depending on the support of listeners, viewers, sponsors, and kind-hearted community members to provide a joyful Christmas for over 250,000 individuals (children and families). It ranks among the largest toy distributors in the Greater Toronto Area, working in partnership with numerous social service organizations.
Our mission is to empower grassroots charities throughout the GTA and beyond to make meaningful contributions to families in need, delivering much-needed support during the holiday season. We envision a community where families experience the joy of the holidays regardless of their financial circumstances, turning holiday time into a celebration for those who give and those who receive.
We are looking for a temporary Driver to join our holiday team. The ideal candidate will be a multitasker, ready to thrive in a fast-paced environment during the busy holiday season and will possess the ability to adapt quickly as situations change. A strong team player is essential for this role.
Driver:
November 17th - January 9th @ $17.75/hour
Report to Lead Driver
Will be assigned a truck and will maintain, fuel and do a walk round inspection each day
Comfortable driving a Cube truck in traffic, on highways and in bad weather
Must be in good health as the position is physical
Must have clean driver abstract
Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks
Comfortable greeting people as you will be the face of The Wish when greeting donors and agencies
Comfortable having your photo taken as donors often like to capture the moment
Assist in warehouse as needed and must be prepared to pivot as requested
Participate as needed in scheduling of toy pickups, otherwise manage your assigned schedule
Check in throughout the day at the office, while on the road to report challenges
Willing to assist with snow removal as required
