The Opportunity



Terlin is currently searching for a fulltime, experienced, and dynamic

Logistics Coordinator

to join our successful team. The environment is fast-paced and growth-oriented - ideally suited for individuals who like to take charge and are driven to build on current successes.

Responsibilities



The Logistics Coordinator is an integral member of the Terlin team--responsible for the efficient, safe, and timely transport of materials, tools, and equipment while delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires strong communication, self-direction, and collaboration with office and site staff, with a keen focus on safety, organization, and responsiveness to the dynamic needs of our construction projects.

Specifically, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for:

Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with Terlin employees, site staff, vendors, and clients.

Managing incoming requests for deliveries, proactively planning routes, and scheduling deliveries to ensure efficiency and minimal downtime.

Loading, transporting, delivering, and unloading construction materials, tools, and consumables in a courteous, professional, and timely manner.

Reviewing logistical requirements before and after delivery to ensure accuracy, completeness, and recipient satisfaction.

Tracking tools, equipment, and consumables in and out of the warehouse/shop, ensuring proper sign-out protocols and accountability are maintained.

Monitoring and maintaining warehouse inventory, including restocking of frequently used items, identifying shortages, and assisting with material purchase requests.

Keeping detailed records of tool movement, consumable usage, and delivery schedules to support job costing and resource planning.

Coordinating vehicle use and maintenance, including completing daily inspections, reporting issues, and assisting with seasonal preparations for all shop vehicles.

Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized shop bay area; managing storage of deliveries, and implementing safety and security protocols.

Operating equipment and machinery, including trucks, forklifts, and other delivery-related tools.

Preparing reports and documentation related to deliveries, inventory levels, and shop operations.

Adhering to assigned delivery routes and time schedules while proactively identifying opportunities for route or schedule optimization.

Ensuring compliance with all transportation and workplace safety laws and regulations.

Supporting the broader construction and facilities team with logistical coordination as needed.

Qualifications



The successful candidate is a self-starter who is highly organized, solutions-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and knowledge of construction logistics are key to success in this role.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Valid driver's license and clean driving record (eligible under Terlin's vehicle insurance policy).

Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills.

Experience in logistics, delivery driving, warehouse or inventory coordination preferred.

Working knowledge of basic construction tools and materials considered an asset.

Physical ability to lift and carry items (including heavy loads, when needed, with assistance).

Familiarity with local streets, routes, and regional travel requirements.

Strong interpersonal skills and a customer-focused mindset.

Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Highly responsible and reliable; capable of working under pressure.

A valid Secret security clearance (or ability to successfully obtain same) is required.

Bilingualism (English and French) considered an asset.

Ability to travel outside the Ottawa region from time to time.
