Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting trailers safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation, maintenance, and safety protocols. The Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of our logistics operations.

Responsibilities

Operate a 2-ton truck (e.g., Ford F550) and towing a flat deck trailer with smaller trailers stacked upon it for deliveries. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure safety and reliability. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, including forklifts when necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries. Adhere to all local, provincial, and federal driving regulations while on the road. Communicate effectively with manager and delivery locations regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise. Ensure that all freight is secured properly for transport to prevent damage during transit.

Experience

Experience with Forklift operation. Clean Class 5 operator's permit and driver's abstract. Familiarity with automotive repair techniques is an asset. Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols. Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Willingness to travel and stay overnight as required.
