We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. This role involves transporting freight and materials efficiently and safely while ensuring timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations, equipment operation, and vehicle maintenance. Duties
Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and materials to designated locations.
Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement.
Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety standards are met; perform basic automotive repairs or coordinate repairs as necessary.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records.
Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities.
Assist with warehouse duties such as inventory management, loading, and unloading freight when required.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate schedules and delivery times.
Skills
Valid driver's license Class 5 with a clean driving record.
Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or other industrial machinery is an asset.
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to commercial driving.
Basic automotive repair skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting and maintenance.
Strong organizational skills for managing delivery schedules and documentation.
Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments.
Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and clients effectively. This position requires a dedicated individual committed to safety, efficiency, and professionalism in all aspects of transportation operations.
