Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Drivers Helper to assist our delivery team with daily operations. This role involves supporting the driver in loading, unloading, and moving freight, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good communication skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks associated with freight movement. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in commercial driving and logistics operations.

Duties

Assist the driver with loading and unloading freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary Help move freight safely from the vehicle to designated delivery locations Support in securing loads to prevent shifting during transit Communicate effectively with team members regarding delivery schedules and freight handling instructions Perform basic maintenance checks on delivery equipment and vehicle safety features Ensure compliance with safety protocols throughout all tasks Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times

Requirements

Prior mechanical knowledge or experience with moving heavy or bulky items is preferred Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided if necessary) Experience with commercial driving or freight handling is a plus but not required Strong communication skills for effective coordination with drivers, clients, and team members Physical ability to lift, move, and handle freight regularly throughout the shift Valid driver's license preferred; must be able to assist with driving duties if needed Reliable transportation to and from work location Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to safety and detail

Pay: $18.72-$24.42 per hour
