Job Description

The Driver Helper assists with the transportation and delivery of lottery terminals and related equipment. This role supports the lead Driver with safe loading, unloading, and setup as required of sensitive electronic devices at various gaming locations throughout Saskatchewan. The position requires attention to detail, physical strength, and professionalism when interacting with clients.

Responsibilities:



Transportation and Delivery Support

Assist truck drivers with loading, securing, transporting, and unloading lottery terminals and accessories.

Safely move terminals using dollies, straps, and lift gates as required.

Help navigate to delivery sites and direct the lead driver during backing or tight maneuvers.

Ensure all equipment and materials are handled carefully to prevent damage.

Installation and Removal

Move terminals to and from customer locations and designated storage areas.

Ensure proper documentation of pickups, deliveries, and any site issues.

General Labour

Maintain cleanliness and organization of truck, tools, and work areas.

Load and unload additional equipment, cables, or signage as needed.

Perform basic maintenance checks on equipment (dollies, straps, lift gates).

Safety and Compliance

Follow all company safety procedures and provincial transportation regulations.

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during all tasks.

Report incidents, damages, or hazards immediately to the lead driver and your supervisor.

Qualifications:



Previous experience as a driver, mover, or labourer is preferred.

Comfortable lifting and moving heavy objects (up to 60 lbs) with assistance.

Reliable and punctual, with a strong focus on safety and professionalism.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Valid driver's license in good standing.

Drug and Alcohol Testing.

WHMIS and SCOT certification is preferred.

Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, overnights, and weekends as required for site scheduling.

At least 19 years of age.
