Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including trucks and vans, to transport freight and personnel to various locations Utilize forklifts and other heavy equipment to load and unload cargo efficiently Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety regulations Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to maintain vehicle reliability Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transportation activities Assist with loading, securing, and unloading freight to prevent damage during transit Communicate effectively with dispatchers, supervisors, and team members regarding schedules, delivery status, and any operational concerns

Skills & Qualifications

Valid Class 5 Driver's License

(required)

Minimum 2 years of verifiable driving experience

Verifiable experience letter for 2 years through insurance

Driver's abstract from all provinces where the applicant has held a license

Clean driving record with a focus on safety and responsibility Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and repair is an asset Strong understanding of safety procedures related to commercial driving and equipment operation Ability to perform physical tasks, including safely lifting and securing heavy loads Excellent time management and organizational skills Strong communication skills for coordinating with team members, dispatchers, and clients
