Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various driving capacities, including commercial driving, shuttle driving, and delivery services. This role requires a strong commitment to safety and customer service while efficiently transporting goods or passengers.

Duties

Operate a variety of vehicles including box trucks, tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and buses while adhering to all traffic laws and regulations. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. Load and unload cargo using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and manual handling techniques. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, routes taken, and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules and any issues that arise during transit. Provide exceptional customer service while interacting with passengers or clients during transport. Assist in route planning to optimize delivery schedules and minimize delays. Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle assigned.

Experience

Proven experience in commercial driving or related fields such as shuttle driving or delivery driver roles is preferred. Familiarity with operating heavy equipment, including but not limited to dump trucks, flatbeds, tankers, and heavy haul vehicles is an advantage. Experience with paratransit services or school bus driving is a plus. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on vehicles is beneficial. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members are essential. Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with freight operations will be considered an asset.
