Landtran Logistics, an experienced provider of dedicated delivery, warehousing, cross-docking and distribution services across Western Canada is currently seeking a Driver Coordinator/Dispatcher (Late Non-Traditional AM Shift) to join our team in Calgary. Job Summary The scope of this position is to be responsible for dispatching units to pickup and deliver freight, monitoring the performance of drivers and ensure customer timelines are adhered too. How You?ll Help

• Organized filing and numerous clerical duties depending on shift
• Must be resourceful using internet and company intranet to maintain company standards
• Must be a team player willing to participate and support all aspects of operations
• Punctual and presentable as you will be front line leader
• Ensure on time delivery to customers
• Scheduling driver?s pick-ups and deliveries
• Planning and setting up of daily dispatch in Truckmate (TMW)
• Insure driver concerns reported into dispatch are responded to and closed off within reasonable or expected timeline
• Ensure accurate reporting
• Assist when required in the warehouse
• Ability to co-ordinate on road repairs and service of fleet
• Assisting warehouse with trailer loading/unloading
• Assisting with solutions regarding any driver concerns
• Assisting with driver inquiries
• Updating customer websites as required
• Communicating and problem solving with customers as required
• Perform other duties as required

Job Qualifications/Requirements

• Previous transportation industry dispatch experience, minimum 1 year
• Must have technical background skills
• Advanced communication skills (written & verbal)
• Computer skills: Gmail, MS products (Excel), web-based programs
• Working knowledge of Truckmate (TMW) & Peoplenet is considered a strong asset
• Strong conflict resolution skills
• Ability to work deadlines in high transaction environment
• Creative & effective problem solving
• Exceptional judgment and decision making
• Ability to multi-task, in a deadline driven environment
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Well-organized, enthusiastic, professional and a positive team member
• Forklift experience is an asset
