Chilangos Mexican Restaurant started at the Belleville Waterfront & Multicultural Festival ten years ago. It's a family-owned Mexican food restaurant recognized for its authentic dishes, great atmosphere, and excellent customer service. We're seeking Bartenders to continue operating at our high standards and join our incredible team.

Requirements:

What will it take to become our ideal candidate?

You have at least 1 year of experience bartending in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant, which is preferable but not required. You have Smart Serve Certification. You have computer literacy and experience using POS systems and cash handling. You are a team player, motivated to create the best customer experience possible, energetic, proactive, enthusiastic, respectful, responsible, quick learner, punctual and reliable. You remain calm and motivated in a fast-paced environment. You can multitask. You have excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. You can work in a standing position, bending and moving around for long periods and lift and/or move up to fifty lbs. You have the flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays as required. You are bilingual (English - Spanish/ French). That's an asset!
Role and responsibilities

What are some of the core activities you'll be performing?

You'll prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the Restaurant's standard drink recipes, being mindful of their presentation. You'll take customers' orders at the bar and enter them into our POS system. You'll prepare the final bill, present the check to customers at the bar and process payment. You'll handle, label, store, and rotate all products properly. You'll respond promptly and courteously to requests or questions about our menu and services. You'll maintain cleanliness in all bar areas, including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves, and storage areas. You'll perform general cleaning duties, sweeping, mopping, sanitizing, recycling, taking the garbage out, sorting empties etc. You'll inform the Front-of-the-house supervisor of any customer situation, inventory shortages, equipment malfunction or situations that might violate the restaurant policies, rules, or procedures. You'll perform other related duties as assigned by the Front-of-the-house supervisor or Managers.
