Tool Coordinator

This role is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of tools, equipment, and materials within Altitude Drilling Tools to support ongoing operations. This role involves preparing and managing work and production schedules, monitoring the progress of both production and field support activities, and ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of downhole tools to job sites. The Tool Coordinator works closely with the onsite representative (OSR) to confirm all customer requirements are met and provides consistent communication to ensure operational readiness. Daily collaboration with the Directional Drilling Coordinator and District Managers is essential to ensure alignment between field operations and logistics.



Responsibilities:



Review and compile detailed worksheets and specifications based on customer orders. Estimate material types and quantities of downhole tools required to fulfill job orders accurately and efficiently. Consult with Operations and Directional Drilling (DD) Coordinators to ensure alignment on project requirements. Verify the accuracy of field order requests and ensure all data is entered correctly in the job database. Coordinate with the shop foreman to schedule production in a cost-effective and timely manner. Facilitate effective communication between departments--Tool Production, MWD Production, DD Production and Sales --regarding customer needs and job specifications. Participate in regular coordination meetings with production coordinators, warehouse personnel, supervisors, and inventory staff to align production and logistics efforts. Monitor and manage the movement of materials, tools, and supplies to ensure timely and accurate shipments and receipts. Maintain and prepare production and logistics reports, including progress updates, material usage, production rates, and other relevant data using manual or internal systems. Arrange and coordinate shipments, including determining the appropriate method of transport, preparing all necessary shipping documentation (bills of lading, customs forms, invoices), and ensuring regulatory compliance. Oversee and participate in the packing and labeling of goods for shipment, including the preparation of containers and crates, and recording contents accurately. Engage with suppliers to schedule deliveries, address shortages or missed shipments, and resolve any delivery issues. Supervise the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring accuracy and safety during transport. Liaise with approved transport vendors to organize and monitor the shipment of tools to site locations. Prepare and submit tool discrepancy reports based on customer feedback and internal investigations. Conduct final inspections and confirmations on all outgoing orders to ensure accuracy and completeness. Complete shipping manifests, ensuring accurate descriptions and quantities are listed. Ensure accurate transfers of tools between locations and maintain proper documentation. Support and promote adherence to the company's Quality Management System (QMS) within the scope of responsibilities. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. Promote environmental awareness and responsible resource use, including overseeing the proper classification and disposal of solid and hazardous waste.

Education/ Experience:



Completion of secondary school. 5+ years of experience as an equipment/ tool coordinator or inspector. 5+ years of supervisory experience in downhole tool facility operations or maintenance is required. An equivalent combination of technical training and experience in administration or maintenance.

Skills/ Qualifications:



Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. High level of communication skills both verbally and written. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions whether in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Knowledge and experience with Inventory Control Software. Working effectively and collaboratively with others. Display a strong work ethic and reliability. Live in close proximity to Niski, AB shop and available to work extra hours when required.

Other Requirements:



On call and some weekend days will be required. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
