About Us:

T & A Rock Works Inc. has been established since 1979 and is based out of Kelowna, BC. T & A specializes in rock drilling, controlled blasting, rockfall mitigation, shotcrete & shoring as well as non-explosive rock removal.

The company is seeking an experienced Driller/Blaster.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious

Driller/Blaster

to join our growing team. The ideal candidate has experience in surface drilling and blasting operations, works well under pressure, and is committed to maintaining a safe job site at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate hydraulic and pneumatic drills Load and detonate explosives accordance with all regulatory and safety standards Maintain equipment and complete daily logs Read and interpret drill/blast plans and layouts for residential and quarrying projects Work in varying terrain and weather conditions Communicate effectively with supervisors, crew members, and site managers

Requirements:

Valid

Blasting Certificate

(Surface, 1st Class) Valid

Class 5 Driver's License

(Class 1 or 3 is an asset) Minimum 5 years of experience in drilling and blasting (or equivalent training) Strong knowledge of rock mechanics, explosive handling, and safety procedures Physically fit and able to work in remote and rugged locations Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

Contract length: 3 months

Pay: $42.00-$48.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
