Job Description

Pittman's Enterprises Limited is looking for qualified individuals to join our team. We currently have an opening for a driller at various jobsites throughout NL.

Duties:

Safely operate a hydraulic crawler drill for production drilling in hard rock quarry environments. Perform daily pre-operational checks and preventative maintenance on the drill rig. Accurately follow blast pattern layouts and drill hole specifications. Maintain drilling logs, drill depths, and site documentation. Collaborate with the blasting crew and other site personnel to ensure drilling efficiency and safety. Work in compliance with company safety protocols and provincial regulations. Travel to and from remote jobsites; rotation schedules may apply.
Requirements:

Minimum 2 years experience operating hydraulic rock drills; preference for ECM-590 or similar models (e.g., Furukawa, Sandvik, etc.). Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues in the field. Valid Class 5 driver's license; Class 3 or higher an asset. Experience in quarry, mining, or heavy civil construction environments. Able to work independently in rugged, remote conditions. Safety training (e.g., First Aid, WHMIS, Ground Disturbance, etc.) considered an asset.

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
