Job Summary


We are seeking a detail-oriented

Drafter

to support our design team by developing accurate technical drawings. The Drafter will translate field measurements, conceptual sketches, and design notes into clear, precise drawings that meet industry standards. This role requires strong technical drafting skills, spatial awareness, the ability to collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and project managers.The Drafter will also be expected to

visit job sites as needed

to take measurements, verify conditions, and ensure accuracy in drawings.

Duties



Create 2D and 3D models for construction projects utilizing tools like AutoCAD and SketchUp. Prepare schematics for electrical, mechanical, or civil engineering projects as required. Develop detailed architectural drawings in AutoCAD from rough sketches, notes, and site measurements. Prepare

floor plans, elevations, sections, and details

in accordance with project requirements. Ensure accuracy and adherence to

building codes, standards, and company drafting guidelines

. Collaborate with architects, engineers and project team to incorporate revisions and resolve design conflicts. Maintain organized drawing files, version control, and drawing logs for future reference. Support the creation of

presentation drawings, permit sets, and construction documents

. Conduct field visits, as needed, to take measurements and verify existing conditions.

Requirements



Education

: Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in drafting, architecture, or related field.

Experience

: 1-3 years of relevant drafting experience (architectural preferred).

Software Skills

: Proficiency in AutoCAD (required), familiarity with MS Office and Adobe Acrobat (desirable), Sketchup (desirable).

Technical Skills

: Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings; strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Soft Skills

: Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills; ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
Preferred Skills

Knowledge of

construction practices and materials

. Experience with

3D modeling and visualization software

. Familiarity with

local building codes and permitting processes

.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
