Job Description

About Role:

One of esteemed client based in Kelowna is seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Freelance Draftsperson to support their Construction and Design team. As a critical team member, you'll work closely with Project Leads to prepare comprehensive drawing packages, interpret architectural designs, and ensure projects stay on deadline and scope.

Core Responsibilities:

Prepare highly detailed technical drawings and plans according to Architectural designs Work closely with Project Leads to estimate and track activities, resources, equipment, and information for each design project; from inception to completion. Track resource allocation and hours spent for design projects Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance inspections. Shop Drawing Review. Prepare and administer RFP packages, ensuring you are adhering to quality standards. Liaise with stakeholders to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives. Prepare and maintain a database of typical CAD details used. Analyze risks and opportunities within project scope. Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports. Develop and administer a library of materials and equipment that will form a Brand Standard.

Requirements

Strong foundation in Drafting and Architectural Technology University degree or College Diploma in Drafting, Architectural Technology or similar 3+ years of experience in Drafting or Architectural Technology Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering Excellent time management and communication skills Ability to interpret architectural designs and create technical drawings Experience with project documentation and tracking progress Ideal candidate should be detail-oriented and organized and should have strong collaboration and communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results
