Reporting to the Director, Mining Services (P. Eng.), the Draftsperson is responsible for drafting and 3D modeling reverse engineered product, quality control of new and repaired product and adder tasks assigned by engineering personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
Participate in new product development and improvements of existing products.
Prepare manufacturing drawings utilizing SolidWorks and AutoCAD software.
Assist in reverse engineering by measuring and scanning parts on-site and in-house.
Field inspections of mining equipment following Boundary approved procedures.
Trace OEM part numbers and innovations to ensure continuous improvement of Boundary Equipment products and services.
Provide support to the purchasing department by providing production drawings, procedures, and standards needed to manufacture Boundary products.
Collaborate with vendors during negotiation, production, and inspection of the product.
Support the planning and execution of mining parts rebuilds by assisting in failure analysis, inspection reports, costing, and executing workflow.
Assist in quality control and inspection activities with the ability to accurately measure using measuring tools such as calipers micrometers etc.
Assist in the calibration of tooling and equipment as required.
Develop knowledge of jobbing processes, including the equipment and capabilities.
Follow all ISO 9001 Company policies and procedures.
Assist in SRED claims as required.
Qualifications:
Mechanical Engineering Technologist diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
Strong proficiency with AutoCAD and Solidworks is required.
Experience with mining equipment and new mining technologies is preferred.
Passionate for mechanical systems with hands on experience in hydraulics, manufacturing, and multi-disciplinary systems.

Working Conditions:
Monday to Friday in office, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour lunch break.
The work environment is a combination of office work, shop work, and field or site-based work.
Out-of-town travel and field work as required.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
