We are looking for a
freelance Draftsperson
with an architectural background to support our renovation and construction projects on a project-by-project basis. The role requiresconducting accurate site measurements
and producingdetailed as-built drawings
, ensuring compliance with the Ontario Building Code.Key Responsibilities:
Visit project sites to take precise measurements. Prepare detailed architectural as-built drawings and layouts based on field data. Draft and update technical drawings using AutoCAD (Revit is an asset). Ensure drawings align with the Ontario Building Code and project requirements. Collaborate with project managers and designers to deliver accurate documentation. Revise drawings as needed to reflect design or site changes.
Qualifications:
Degree or diploma in
Architecture, Architectural Technology, or related field
. Experience in site measurements and architectural drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit or similar CAD software is a plus). Strong knowledge of building codes and construction standards. Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines. Good communication skills and the ability to work independently.Type:
