Drafting and Design

Serving both domestic and international clients, we leverage our state-of-the-art 84,000 sq. ft. fabrication facility in Calgary and our expert team to provide exceptional solutions.

Accountabilities:

Responsible for accurate completion of P&IDs, vessels, skids, layouts, and piping isometric drawings for various process packages. Attend meetings and model reviews to discuss design aspects. Utilize AutoCAD and CADWorx for 3D design and detailing of components per engineering instructions. Ensure compliance with project scope, specifications, standards, drawings and other documents. Prepare accurate mechanical and assembly shop drawings in a timely manner according to project production and delivery schedule. Responsible for checking of cross discipline drawings for adherence to fabrication tolerances and OPSCO's design standards and practices. Adhere to OPSCO's Safety Policy and Code of Ethics.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Engineering Design & Drafting Technology graduate or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience in piping process equipment in a fabrication facility. Good Working knowledge of ASME/ANSI B31.3. Knowledge of CADWorx and AutoCAD. Comprehensive understanding of P&ID's and piping layouts. Familiarity with PIP standards for structural design to comply with OH&S. Understanding of pressure vessel layout to ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel code. Working knowledge with CSA W47.1 and weld symbology. Attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written. Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

Location:

This position is located at OPSCO's office on 285175 Kleysen Way in Rocky View County, Alberta (just off 84th Street in SE Calgary) and is not currently serviced by public transit so a reliable means of transportation is required.
